Savoury Fried Mushrooms

A delectable fried mushroom dish suitable as a dipper or have as a side dish

  • 100 g Oyster mushrooms
  • 4 tbsp Cornflour
  • 5 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • ½ tsp Chilli flakes (optional)


  • 2 tsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Rice wine
  • ½ tsp Garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp Sugar


  • Slice the mushrooms into thin strips, if large
    100 g Oyster mushrooms
  • Mix the ingredients for the marinade well in a bowl
    2 tsp Soy sauce, 2 tsp Rice wine, ½ tsp Garlic, minced, ½ tsp Sugar
  • Add the mushrooms to the marinade bowl and mix well

  • If using chilli flakes, mix them into the cornflour
    4 tbsp Cornflour, ½ tsp Chilli flakes
  • Coat the mushroom pieces well with cornflour mix
  • Heat the oil over medium heat in a frying pan
    5 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • Shallow fry the mushrooms, making sure not to overlap them
  • When brown, turn them over
  • When both sides are brown and crisp, take them out and drain excess oil.
