Ramen with Mushrooms and Pork

A simple Japanese-inspired soup dish for lunch or dinner

Ingredients

  • 1 packet Instant ramen noodles
  • Dried seaweed reconstituted
  • 100 g Oyster mushrooms sliced if large
  • 50 g Pork cut into bite pieces
  • 1 Shallot chopped into 1cm pieces
  • Other vegetables: carrot, snow peas, etc
  • 400 mL Water
  • 1 pkt Soup powder (usually found in the instant noodles packet)
  • Sesame seeds white and/or black

Instructions

  • Cook noodles in plenty of boiling water according to instructions on the packet. Drain. Set aside.

  • Place water in a pot. Add mushrooms (vegetables) and pork. When they are cooked, add shallots.
    100 g Oyster mushrooms, 50 g Pork, 1 Shallot, 400 mL Water, Other vegetables: carrot, snow peas, etc

  • Add the soup powder. Turn off the heat.

  • Add the noodles to a bowl and, using a ladle, add the soup. Sprinkle a small amount of Sesame Seed and serve.
